Game Mechanics and Payouts
Orbit Sum uses two independent pointers that each draw a number from zero to six uniformly. These values are added together and the sum is taken modulo seven, resulting in a uniform distribution across outcomes zero through six. Players select an arc of one, two, or three positions starting at zero. If the result falls within the chosen arc, the player receives a gross return of 6.72x for an arc of one, 3.36x for an arc of two, or 2.24x for an arc of three. Any result outside the selected arc returns zero. The game has no manual stop or autoplay features; settlement occurs automatically upon reveal or exit.
Wallet, Stakes, and Settlement
Stakes can be set to ten, twenty-five, fifty, or one hundred, with twenty-five as the default. The stake is deducted once at the start of the round and persists before any animation begins. Payouts are computed in hundredths, with any fractional carry added to the saved fractional carry and credited as floor whole coins, leaving a remainder between zero and ninety-nine. The wallet starts with a balance of one thousand virtual coins. Manual restoration is available only when idle and the balance falls below ten, setting the balance to one thousand rather than adding to it. A saved wallet does not save an unfinished round; reloading discards the round without refund or resume.
Technical Observations and Privacy
The demo stores the whole virtual wallet, fractional hundredths, and a pending-round flag in local storage. Controls reset upon reload. The game uses Google Fonts and Statinside analytics. External login and register buttons navigate to unverified destinations. No payment, deposit, or withdrawal exists in the original demo, and virtual coins have no cash value. The intended audience is eighteen plus, though no enforced age gate is present. Privacy includes local storage of balances and flags, with no evidence of extensive data collection beyond analytics.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I reload the page during a round?
The stake remains deducted, and the unfinished round is discarded without refund or resumed settlement.
How is the payout calculated and credited?
Payouts are computed in hundredths. The fractional carry is added to the saved fractional carry, whole coins are credited, and the remainder is kept.
